Explore the exciting district of Harajuku, renowned worldwide for its mix of youth culture and extreme street fashion. See where rock stars and fashionistas shop to create new styles and trends -- for music videos and magazines. Browse the high-end fashion stores at Omotesando Hills and look for a bargain at the 100 yen shops (dollar stores). This is the must do tour for all trend setters and fashion lovers.

Meet your guide at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku and travel like a local by train to Harajuku Station. Harajuku is one of Tokyo’s most eclectic shopping districts and home to a distinctive style of urban fashion. If you've ever wondered where those strange outfits featured in music clips and magazines come from, well wonder no more -- it's right here in the subculture world of Harajuku.

Explore Takeshita and its side streets, which are lined with fashion boutiques, used-clothing stores and up-and-coming designers. Browse the aisles of one of the largest 100 yen shops (dollar stores) for a bargain. See the local teenagers engage in cosplay (costume play) where they dress up to resemble anime (Japanese cartoon) characters, celebrities or their own styles.

After a clash of color and riot of fashion, wander down to the posh end of town to Omotesando Hills shopping mall. Here you can browse the high-end fashion stores featuring the designer brand names of Louis Vuitton and Prada to name but a few.

Visit Kiddy Land, a famous toy store that has stood on Omotesando for decades, although these days it is known more for its Hollywood celebrity clients, before continuing to Jingu Crossing which houses the more affordable brands of H&M and Forever 21.

Your tour ends at Harajuku Station where you can decide to take the train back to Keio Plaza Hotel.

Give your Japan experience real meaning. Renew your wedding vows in one of four pre-selected, beautiful, romantic Japanese gardens, complete with Kimono, photo-shoot and vow renewal certificate to memorialize the event.

The whole experience/event takes about three ~ four hours, and for the price, you will:

  • choose and be fitted with a kimono
  • renew your vows in a picturesque Japanese garden
  • receive a certificate of vow renewal
  • have a one-hour photo-shoot in the garden
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to really experience Japanese culture, and go beyond simply renewing your vows.  If you want to surprise your loved one, our officiant and on-site support will be happy to "masquerade" as tour guides, until ceremony time.  This is sure to blow your loved one's socks off, and we love to see the reaction on clients faces when they realize just what is actually happening.

We will meet at a pre-arranged location, most likely a place in or near Shinjuku station.  Don't worry, we will provide a map.  From there we will escort you to our partner kimono rental shop, where you will choose and be fitted with your choice of kimono.  This takes up to 90 minutes, and includes hair styling and accessories.  After that, we will catch a taxi and ride about 10 minutes to the garden.

Once at the garden, which will have been pre-booked and paid for, we will proceed to the ceremony spot to hold the vow renewal.  This will take up to 15 minutes.  If you choose to read out your own vows, send them to us a week ahead of time, we will print them off for you and present them together with the certificate from vow renewal Japan.

After the completion of the ceremony, we will spend about 60 minutes photo-shooting the two of you from every corner of the garden.  Depending on the season, there will be special features and plants that we will want to maximize the use of.  Finally, depending on the garden, you may be able to enjoy a spot of Japanese tea, or Macha.

After this you will have a choice, either:

  • head straight back to the kimono shop, in which case we can accompany you or,
  • take the opportunity to have some free time, alone, before returning the kimonos by yourselves.
If you choose the latter, we will give you an address card for the kimono shop, to show any taxi driver.

A note regarding the final images:  It will take up to a week to develop the photographs.  Once completed, we will send you a link from where you can download them.

We'll also get the chance to watch the 7-Minute Miracle, the term used to describe the super-speedy teams of cleaners that keep the interiors of JR East Shinkansen bullet trains spick and span for the next group of passengers. In 2016, Harvard Business School students even began to study the 7-Minute Miracle bullet train cleaners as part of their regular curriculum.

The cleaning staff of the Shinkansen, no matter how dirty the toilet, finish work perfectly within seven minutes. Cleaning is one of the essence of Japanese culture and education linked to good conduct, correct posture, and mental preparation. Even after losing the game against Belgium at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Japanese supporters who cheered at the local site picked up garbage and cleaned up the audience seats.

Let's visit Tokyo station to see Tokaido, Sanyo, Tohoku, Yamagata, Akita, Hokkaido, Joetsu, Hokuriku Shinkansen. I will provide informative details about Shinkansen. We'll also get the chance to watch "7-Minute Miracle" on the Shinkansen.
